    Paul Golin, Executive Director of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, will lead a workshop about strenthening engagement among members and our wider community and growing our network.  Read more about Paul Golin. We will end our afternoon with a wine and cheese social.

    We will celebrate a humanistic havdallah (end of shabbat) at 5:30 and then enjoy a community dinner.  After dinner, Paul Golin, Executive Director for the Society for Humanistic Judaism, will give a short presentation followed by discussion about the Future of Congregational Life in Liberal Judaism.  Paul has spent the last two decades helping Jewish organizations and movements better understand the key trends affecting North American Jewry, including intermarriage, engagement and inclusion.  Read more about Paul.  Childcare is available with advance reservation.  RSVP to this event

    Julie Alpern, co-author of The Gefilte Manifesto, will tell us about the mission of reimagining eastern European Jewish cuisine, adapting classic dishes to the values and tastes of a new generation.  She has the chutzpah to believe that Old World Jewish foods can be beautiful, inspiring and delicious.  We have commissioned “KB cooks” to prepare some of her recipes for sampling.  Leora Mallach will teach about Fair Trade chocolate in the Sunday school and to the whole congregation.  To find out more about Leora's work go to Jewish Gardens.  To read more about Julie Alpern's work go to Gefilteria.

    We will light our menorahs in a beautiful ceremony and learn about the humanistic meaning of the holiday.  There will be games and crafts, lots of singing, and a holiday dinner with latkes.  All are welcome to particpate.  For more info  Register HERE.
