COMMITTEES AND WORKING GROUPS
If the observance of Judaism is
through action and in daily living rather than through the profession
of personal beliefs or a creed, then we at Kahal B'raira have many
choices from which to create our own personal practice. As a
congregation run by the efforts of volunteers, KB is directed primarily
through the activities of our members. We have categorized
congregational activities as follows:
- HOLIDAY
COMMITTEES: Those activities
directly involved in the planning and execution of congregational
holiday celebrations. All members are required to choose and
participate in at least one of these.
- WORKING
COMMITTEES: Those interests
and activities directly involving the organization, function and
existence of our congregation. All members are required to choose and
participate in at least one of these.
- WORKING
GROUPS: These groups meet to address the special concerns, interests and activities of congregation members. Participation
in a Special Interest Group is voluntary and does not serve as
fulfillment of the work required on a Holiday or Working Committee.
