Jewish Cooking Plus Fair Trade Chocolate

Julie Alpern, co-author of The Gefilte Manifesto, will tell us about the mission of reimagining eastern European Jewish cuisine, adapting classic dishes to the values and tastes of a new generation.  She has the chutzpah to believe that Old World Jewish foods can be beautiful, inspiring and delicious.  We have commissioned “KB cooks” to prepare some of her recipes for sampling.  Leora Mallach will teach about Fair Trade chocolate in the Sunday school and to the whole congregation.  To find out more about Leora's work go to Jewish Gardens.  To read more about Julie Alpern's work go to Gefilteria.
