Join KB for our unique Yom Kippur services! This is a beautiful, humanistic holiday celebration. A memorial section is included to honor departed loved ones.  There is also a speaker and discussion section. Accessible to all!

No tickets are required but we greatly appreciate pre-registration.

Conclude the Yom Kippur holiday with our unique adult service.  This is a beautiful, humanistic service with social justice themes and a walk outside if weather permits.  All are welcome.

 

YOM KIPPUR CONCLUDING FAMILY SERVICE

End the holiday with a brief family service good for all ages including young children.  Sing and review holiday themes.   Accessible to all!

OPEN HOUSE – VISIT KAHAL B’RAIRA

Visit Kahal B’raira and take part in all parts of our lively Sunday morning. Arrive by 9:00 am to get oriented.

We begin the day singing led by our music director. Sunday school begins after that and families with children may visit classrooms and meet teachers.

Adults can experience our humanistic service and program and join us for coffee and cake.

Daniel Lord Small, Harvard Professor, will speak about the Judeo-Christian calendar to Deep History.

Stay till noon to experience all parts of a “KB Day” and if possible stay after to celebrate the Sukkot holiday.

KB FIRST SERVICE OF THE YEAR- SUKKOT!

Join us – Sunday School, Adult Service and Program, and celebrating Sukkot!  Sukkot is a fall harvest holiday.  Read about the traditional and humanistic meaning HERE.

Our school children will build and decorate the succah.  At noon we will enjoy light refreshments on the lawn near the succah.  Stay and enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

All are welcome- families, adults, members and visitors alike!

FAMILY FARM DAY

Join KB Families at Gaining Ground Farm in Concord, MA.  Adults and children volunteer together to do farm chores and learn about the how the farm provides food to people who need it and fosters sustainable practices.

SERVICE AND PROGRAM — DRAMATIC PRESENTATION ON MUSLIM WOMEN

Our KB morning includes Sunday school, and adult service.

Our adult program features playwright and actress Rohina Malik in her one woman show, Unveiled, about five Muslim women.

Unveiled draws the audience into worlds that are both unique and truly universal. It takes a look at love, culture, language, racism, Islam, life.

SUNDAY SCHOOL, SERVICE AND PROGRAM: SUSANNAH HESCHEL

Our KB Sunday includes Sunday school and adult humanistic service and program.

Our program speaker is Susannah Heschel, noted academic, speaker and Jewish feminist. The election in 2016 set her on a path to re-examine how she taught all that she taught.  Her topic:  How Should we Teach Jewish Studies in an Age of Trump
