Yom Kippur – Time to Reflect and Begin Again For A New Year!  Our service will be online so that everyone may safely attend.  It will be filled with music.  Hear the ancient song Kol Nidre chanted and as an instrumental.   Our humanistic liturgy, and speaker, David Meshoulam, will make this a very meaningful experience.

If you have a long Jewish tradition you will find our service to be a refreshing alternative.  If you are new to Jewish tradition, you will find this service very accessible.  All are welcome. Register HERE.

There is a memorial section of this service and the names of departed loved ones will be honored by being scrolled on the screen.  Please submit names HERE.  You are welcome to submit names whether or not you are attending that service.

Sunday School and Adult Service & Gathering: Price of Whiteness
Oct 25 @ 9:00 am – 12:45 pm

What has it meant to be Jewish in a nation preoccupied with the categories of black and white? Join historian Eric Goldstein, author of The Price of Whiteness, as he shares an overview of the uneasy place Jews have held in America’s racial culture. Dr. Goldstein will trace the often tumultuous encounter with race, from the 1870s through to WWII, when Jews became vested as part of America’s white mainstream. He will also discuss how these issues have shaped the relationship between Jews and African Americans, from the 19th century through contemporary movements for racial justice. A Q & A with Dr. Goldstein will follow his talk.

Professor Goldstein is the author of The Price of Whiteness: Jews, Race, and American Identity
