“I Have A Message For You” Movie Discussion
Jul 26 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

I Have a Message for You By Matan Rochlitz.   In this 13 minute Emmy-nominated film, a woman’s harrowing journey of surviving the Holocaust stuns both for the creativity of its visual approach and for the unusual combination of tragedy, beauty and catharsis.  Watch the film anytime in advance and join the discussion from 8 – 9 pm.  We will provide guiding questions to launch our small groups into rich discussion.

This is part of a 3 part series, again on August 9 & 23.  Each time we view (in advance) another short documentary, often Emmy and Oscar nominated—from the New York Times site and then meet for discussion.

Against the backdrop of the Iraq war, the story of Najah Aboud and Zahed Haftlang is a surprising affirmation of humanity that cuts across political borders in this Oscar-shortlisted film. Watch this 9 min film anytime in advance and join the discussion from 8:00 – 9:00 pm.  We will provide guiding questions to launch our small groups into rich discussion.

This is part 2 of a 3 part series, ending on August 23.  Each time we view (in advance) a short documentary, often Emmy and Oscar nominated—from the New York Times site and then meet for discussion.
