Program: Music and Dance Performance inspired by Medieval Spanish Poetry

The Catalan Mahzor (C. 1280), is a medieval Spanish Jewish illuminated manuscript which uniquely fuses poetry and mystical imagery. Hidden by local communities, the manuscript's journey across time included Italy, Syria, Turkey, Germany, and the United States. Composer and guitarist Ira Klein, string player Beth Bahia Cohen, and dancer/choreographer Rachel Linsky are proud to present The Catalan Mahzor: a New Chapter, an immersive performance combining music, dance, and visuals, all inspired by the remarkable beauty and story of the Catalan Mahzor.
